Message from the Principal

Dear Parents/Carers,

I warmly welcome you to the website of St Joseph’s Primary School Bombala. We are very proud of our school and the values that it upholds and promotes.

Even though St Joseph’s Primary School is a small school, we believe that we offer the finest in 21st Century education. Our teachers are well informed, dedicated professionals who pride themselves on helping each child reach his or her potential. They engage in high-quality professional learning in order to do the very best for our students.

Students are also well catered for when it comes to technology. The school has a 1:1 ratio of Google Chromebooks for students in Year 1 - 6 and a ration of 1:1 iPads for Students in Kindergarten. Every child is encouraged to engage with many facets of technology from Kindergarten through to Year 6 and the use of such technology complements the teaching and learning process.

We base all our interactions at St Joseph’s on the Gospel values of Jesus. This means our student understand the need for inclusion, compassion, thoughtfulness and love for our fellow human beings. The student care for and help each other whenever possible. They also outreach to the community of Bombala and beyond when the opportunity arises.

The parent body of St Joseph’s Primary is dedicated to the school and willingly participates in a broad range of fundraising and social events. Parents are invited to join us from time to time in the classrooms and are encouraged to share their expertise with the students. This can show itself through sporting prowess, art or craft and reading. Please feel free to let us know if you have skills in any particular area.
